– Job creation was on the mind of Brant MP, Phil McColeman, as he talked trade and commerce with other Government Leaders and Industry experts at a two day conference in Ottawa this week.

“Strengthening trade and commerce is critically important to job creation on both sides of the border,” said McColeman. “Efficiency of transportation, gateways and borders will greatly impact future trade patterns in the integrated global economy.”

The two day Canadian/American Border Trade Alliance Conference focused on border management, trade, transportation and connections between the world’s two largest trading partners.

The Canadian /American Border Trade Alliance is a broad based, bi-national grassroots organization comprised of business segments, private sector and public sector organizations involved in Canada/U.S. Relations, Trade and Visitation.

McColeman is a member of the Canada/U.S. Inter-Parliamentary Group and was chosen as a Parliamentary delegate to participate in the conference.
