Harper Government Celebrates the Significant Impact of Federal Stimulus Funding for Contract Drilling Professionals
(Brantford, ON) - With local governments and their partners advancing plans to market Brant as a centre for green energy and technology, Canada`s Economic Action Plan is supporting innovative businesses like Contract Drilling Professionals. The Burford Company is creating the jobs of the future and making the `green hub` plan a reality.
“Contract Drilling Professionals is a great example of how Canada’s Economic Action Plan is working,” said Mr. McColeman. “Here’s a local company using innovative ‘green’ approaches to energy consumption while creating jobs in our community.”
“We currently have four full time employees and three seasonal employees” said Corey Paterak, owner of Contract Drilling Professionals. “I think that investment in renewable energy providers shows the forward thinking strategy we need in our area to move us toward sustainable development with sustainable energy installers, developers and providers.”
Through Canada’s Economic Action Plan, Contract Drilling Professionals received $240,000 to expand its business in April 2010. Mr. McColeman was in Burford today touring a home where the company is currently installing two geothermal loops for heating and cooling.
“Our government’s top priority is the economy,” said Mr. McColeman. “Jobs and economic growth continue to be created by Canada’s Economic Action Plan.”
The Harper Government is demonstrating the job creation and benefits of Canada’s Economic Action Plan. Mr. McColeman’s visit to Burford is just one of over 80 events happening across the country today.
The Harper government is committed to stimulating the economy through the creation of jobs. Canada’s Economic Action Plan continues to create jobs and economic growth with more than 26,000 job-creating projects underway or completed from coast to coast to coast.
The results are clear: Since July 2009 Canada’s economy has created over 460,000 new jobs and the economy has grown for five straight quarters.
